Re: Oberth Hits a Speedbump

First off... that is massive lawn chair... based off the shadows and point of impact - it was at least the height of an entire deck if not a deck and a half. Other than that - I would say its a fairly accurate portrayal of how that would go down. There's a rumor it once took out The Undertaker...

Not into them at all, I prefer when they're packing plenty down below

Re: A Controversial Star Trek opinion

I feel it sets it apart from what came before, representing a new era and ideas, and the hope for peacefully exploring the galaxy.
Didn't work out for them though...

Re: Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy

I'm on the 2nd episode, I like it so far.
Be forewarned, it is dark and gritty.

Re: Star Trek: Lower Decks

There have been some theories bounced around that the ship is really just the saucer, the rest being a warp sled similar to the shuttle that brought Spock to the Enterprise in The Motion Picture.
Though, I doubt the studio had even thought of it, or could care about explaining anything.

Re: Star Trek: Lower Decks

What little I've seen is unimpressive... especially the ship. Did they run out of parts building a Nebula?

I'll go see it, just to put an end to it, but my expectations are extremely low.

That's not the single stupidest attempt at humor I've ever seen ... but it's in the Hot 100.
It made me giggle!

Agreed. I have a young NCO punch out a joined Trill for her pomposity in one of my novelettes from Tales of the 13th Fleet.
I don't recall that one... but I hope the NCO got three days bread and water like I did.

Re: What role did the Enterprise-E play in the Dominion War?

Very good points but the "officer 2 ranks junior" had the memories of a federation ambassador and part of her was over 300 years old. If one acknowledged that as sufficient for a billet, though, no short-lived race would ever gain seniority in Starfleet. Vulcans, teen Trills, Axanar and other races...
