Re: A little historical perspective

I know, I'm started with a "Star Trek is too political" speech and ended with a "be good to each other". But to me that's what Star Trek is. It's a story to remind us of who we could be, remind us of our better selves. Star Trek isn't about one man rising as a hero, it's about people working togeth...

So ... sometimes the best I can do is silence.

That's all I got.
As the meme says "I don't have to attend every fight I am invited to" . Sometimes letting roll past is the best thing to do.

Re: Star Trek: Lower Decks

I am struggling here. I want to acknowledge that an opinion exists and is valid, while at the same time, expressing I have zero interest in it and no desire to engage with it. "New Star Trek Suck" or "New Star Wars Suck" Is a valid opinion. And I find it boring, tiresome and generally not worth my t...

A little historical perspective

I never ran into any complaints about Star Trek the Motion picture except for the usual "Star Trek the Motionless Picture" But when Star Trek II TWOK came out there were fans who said it betrayed GR's vision by being too militaristic When Star Trek TNG came out there were fans who said that Star Tre...

I saw "Tenent"...
Did he pay his rent?

(I know - different spelling, but real close. Almost as close as Tenet.)
I actually had to correct the spelling the first time I put it down.

It's his tenent that tenent is not spelled tenant.

Re: So. What DO you like lately?

I've enjoyed watching Supernatural . It's not the type of show I would normally gravitate to, but I like the characters and the storytelling it offers. I recently started Star Wars: The Clone Wars from the beginning. I'm enjoying it. However, the first several episodes of the second season were dis...

Sympathies. Are you gaming currently?

I'd like to hear about Star Wars if that's what you're running

Re: So. What DO you like lately?

I saw "Tenent" in theater earlier this year.

I liked it and it had some food for thought in it. It handled time travel in an innovative way.

I left the theater filled with questions and wanting to know more.

So. What DO you like lately?

What have you seen in terms of Movies or TV shows in the last two years that you really liked and why?

I am really behind on shows I like to see frankly.

by the way Jay, glad you enjoyed it, just wish I had.

Thank you. I appreciate that. Maybe a different discussion from a different angle will work better.

Re: Star Trek: Lower Decks

Honestly, I just can't get into it. I just don't give a crap about the story. Maybe it's just me. It's just not what I'm looking for from a Star Trek show. Glad others can enjoy it. I'll just stay hyped for more Orville. That's interesting because to me, Lower Decks feels like condensed Orville. Co...
