The movie was a little disappointing to me. I'm curious: What precisely disappointed you? The alterations in pacing and additional action scene were absolutely necessary to retain the attention of a modern audience. Has anyone else noticed...

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

This one takes its place on my all-time top ten list after a single viewing. It's nothing short of spectacular ; the special effects are absolutely top-notch---surpassing even those in the Matrix and Lord of the Rings series, in my opinion. He's a monster. Yet I grew up with the 70's super-hero Godzilla, and in my heart of hearts, he's really that super samurai. I like the ones wherein he's an engine of destruction ... but I'd still rather see him saving the Earth from Mecha-Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Gigan, Megalon, Hedorah, the Kilaak...

Love to see it sometime.

Your funny, though, reminds me of a primary reason why the American version sucked: Godzilla does not run from military forces; he stomps and/or fricasees them.

Is anyone else into kaiju-eiga?

I'm a huge Godzilla fan from way back. Anyone else share this guilty pleasure?

I have no idea why I did this one, but ... here's an updated Melora Pazlar, as she appears in the new novel series Star Trek: Titan.

If you need a guest star, snag her.
