I've recently re-watched "Devil's Due" ...

... and, frankly, I think they missed a golden opportunity here.

The episode could have been much more interesting if Ardra, in point of fact, had been the Devil.

Fortunately for you, there's an entire internet out there, most of which does not include reviews by The Critical Drinker.

Enjoy.

Re: Star Trek: Picard

Addendum: His commentary is not politically correct, but I highly recommend The Critical Drinker's reviews. Here's a link to his take on Star Trek: Picard , Episode One. A2XrkuexUaY Pay particular attention to 9:04 through 9:16. It's damned funny and largely on point. Also, 10:29 through 13:14 (in p...

Re: Star Trek: Picard

I saw it.

The jury's out.

Stewart looks almost decrepit.

Discovery improved immensely from Season One to Season Two, though there were still absurdities. Star Trek: Picard's certainly started off less annoying.

Time will tell.

Re: Star Trek Discovery - Season 3

I think it's license for "anything goes," yeah. It'll play for the crowd who has no real attachment to Star Trek . TPTB get to keep and use the Star Trek name, yet pull any fuckin' bullshit they want without prickling the canon-iers' feathers. It's the perfect setup for them. Of course, that's basic...

Re: What book are you reading?

Michael J. Taylor, Antiochus the Great

The title character may well be the greatest of his dynasty, eclipsing even its founder, Seleukos Nikator. He was handed an impossible task—restoring and maintaining the preposterously unwieldy and difficult-to-govern Seleucid Empire—and almost achieved it.

Re: Star Trek: Picard

I'm intrigued to see just how much they can give Stewart to do. He's starting to look quite fragile.

Your Five Greatest-Ever Superhero Films

I'll get us started. Honorable Mention: Ant-Man , Avengers: Endgame , Avengers: Infinity War , Superman II , Wonder Woman #5 – Spider Man 2 : While I enjoy Tom Holland more than either Garfield or Maguire, Tobey gives his best performance in this one; Alfred Molina is one of the most interesting, nu...
